Story
Sir Robert Waley Cohen made his name in the oil industry when energy was becoming a strategic fact. At Shell he was an executive of the old school: technical, clubbable, and sure that industry served the nation.
He also served Anglo-Jewry as a lay leader when that community was finding its modern British voice. Business and communal duty were, for him, neighboring desks.
